Job description :
The aim of this research consists in studying the formation of ordered phases typical of liquid crystals in mixtures of lipids and nucleic acids fragments (DNA and RNA) to investigate the emergence of effective proto-cellular structures and nucleic acids polymerization.

Job environment : Molecular Self-Assembly LAB (leaded by T.P. Fraccia) at Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes, ESPCI Paris, PSL Research University
Candidate profile :
– Master’s in physics/Chemistry/Biology or similar
– Experience in the experimental investigation of lipid/nucleic acids solutions (samples preparation and characterization)
– Formation in origin of life investigation
– Experience in optical microscopy
– Fluent English level
